In frame of the activities of the environment sector at the Faculty and under the patronage of Prof. Ayman Othman – Aswan University President_ Prof. Khairy Hussein _Faculty Dean_ and the supervision of Prof. Manal Khudari _ Vice Dean for Environment and Community Affairs, the Social Solidarity Unit at the University organized an awareness symposium at Faculty of Education about the dangers of drug addiction. And abuse on young people. The symposium was attended by Dr. Hamada Rajab – General Coordinator of the Mawadda Project, Dr. Abdalla Saber _ Executive Coordinator of Mawadda Project, and Dr. Haitham _ General Secretariat of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment,
The symposium aimed to raise awareness of the dangers of drug and drug addiction to the health of the individual and society. Prof. Khairy Hussein stressed the importance of these symposiums, which aim to raise students’ awareness of the dangers resulting from abuse and addiction. The Dean of the Faculty urged students to make the most of these symposiums and do their duty in conveying information to the external community to raise awareness. On the dangers of addiction, Prof. Manal Khodari pointed out that achieving Egypt’s vision for sustainable development 2030, especially the axis of justice, development and human building, aims to raise awareness, guidance and direction for young people about the dangers to which society is exposed, especially the issue of addiction, which requires increasing awareness among young people of its dangers to human health.
